Comcast's Digital Migration
What is Comcast's Digital Migration? Comcast is upgrading its Expanded Basic Cable channel lineup from analog- to digital-quality signals. Moving analog signals to digital will allow Comcast to add hundreds of new high-definition (HD) channels, much faster Internet access speeds and smarter phone service. This page previously had a lot of material we used to provide information for the news media and other people, but there's now a national site: Visit the Main Comcast site about the digital migration. The If you have not received word of the migration in your area, that’s because Comcast is performing the work in phases throughout 2009. The channels are being moved in two waves. The list below shows general areas and a tentative time for the first channel migrations.
